Private Label Cat Treats: Mini Bites and Lickable Formats
By PawTaste Pet Food · September 29, 2026
A private-label cat treat brief needs more than a protein name. A mini chicken stick and a chicken lickable treat are different product formats, with different samples and packaging questions. PawTaste's 2026 catalog provides a starting point for selecting a format and identifying it precisely when requesting a quotation.
Start with small bites or a lickable format
The CAT Treats range on printed catalog page 22 includes mini sticks, soft cubes, sandwich pieces and small bites. The Wet Pet Treats range on page 26 shows individual packs labeled Lickable Cat Treats. Shortlist the format first, then choose the recipe direction. A catalog name identifies an option for discussion; it is not a complete ingredient declaration.

How to compare samples
For mini sticks and cubes, specify the target dimensions, piece weight and texture you want reviewed. Ask for the confirmed ingredient list and product specification rather than assuming that a chicken or tuna product contains only that ingredient. If you are comparing AK01A and AK01B, identify whether the stick shape or the soft cube format better matches your intended pack.
For lickable cat treats, begin with one or two CC01 recipe references. Ask about the fill weight per unit, number of units per retail pack, packaging dimensions, opening format and carton arrangement. The catalog shows six recipe names, but it does not establish a single standard fill weight or a fixed private-label pack configuration.
Keep dry and wet product briefs separate
A useful sample request could read: “Please review AK03A Tuna Small Bites and CC01D Tuna as two separate private-label options. Our destination market is [country]. Please confirm specifications, available samples, packaging options and MOQ for each.” This keeps the quotation tied to the actual products and prevents one set of packaging assumptions being applied to both.
What to confirm before artwork
- Confirmed composition, analytical specification and intended feeding use.
- Product dimensions or fill weight, retail pack count and carton format.
- Storage instructions and supported shelf life for the selected specification.
- Destination market, label language and required supplier documents.
- MOQ, sample availability and lead time for each selected code.
Do not print nutritional or functional claims based only on a product photo. Final artwork should follow the agreed specification. If your project also includes freeze-dried formats, compare the freeze-dried range separately rather than treating every small cube as the same process.
Request a focused cat treat quotation
Start with two or three codes, your target market, estimated quantity and preferred retail pack. Review the private-label cat treat range and the packaging preparation guide, then include the selected codes in your inquiry. PawTaste can review the product and sample direction before a final quotation.
